Vocagathering 2026 Wrap-up

Welcome to the Vocagathering 2026 wrap-up post! Thank you to everyone who participated in some way, either by submitting one of the ~430 original vocal synth songs or watching and sharing them! We had over 4,300 unique visitors during our event, coming from 91 unique countries!

Vocagathering 2026 had people come together from around the globe. The top participating countries in order of visitors were the United States, Japan, The United Kingdom, Canada, and South Korea.

How was the event? Let us know how it went through our survey (open until the end of May 2025).

What is Vocagathering again?

If this is your introduction to Vocagathering, here’s a quick rundown of the event!

Vocagathering is a vocal synth focused posting festival that encourages producers big and small to create and upload music during the same timeframe! The event was inspired by Vocaloid Collection (vocacolle) and aims to celebrate vocal synth creatives all across the world.

Vocagathering’s main goal is to promote the discovery of vocal synth creatives, and to build a sense of community within the global vocal synth online sphere.

Vocagathering 2026 was our 2nd Vocagathering ever! It was held from March 14th 12:00AM UTC to March 18th 12:00AM UTC and included numerous new features, such as the discovery radio and the all songs page. You can still see the final rankings, check out songs randomly on the radio, and view the official playlist

How were the new features?

In this second iteration of Vocagathering, we tried many new features based on last event’s feedback. Specifically, we heard that users wanted more interactivity with the site and the ability to view all entries was not working as expected (the Youtube hashtag did not display all entries). Thus, we introduced the first iteration of the Discovery Radio (with song voting) and the All Songs page this year.

According to our analytics, the Discovery Page was the most popular page of the website. In fact, it was around 2 times as visited as the Rankings page! Thus, we’re glad vocal synth fans got some usage out of the new feature!

Although appearing simple, the Discovery Radio and All Songs pages required substantial effort to implement and debug. But now that we have a foundation to build off, please let us know what you thought of these new features in the survey!

We are already considering ways to improve it in the future and would love your feedback.

Special Showcase

This year, we trialed giving compliments through Discovery Radio. Here, we want to showcase some songs that received the most compliments but you may not have seen yet since they aren’t in the top 100~

Nice instrumental!

Nice visuals!

Nice tuning!

Big thanks to our volunteers

Finally, this event would not have been possible without our numerous volunteers! We want to express our profuse thanks and celebrate them by listing their role.

We also had 21(!) wonderful artworks as part of the countdown to the event’s starting date. We want to express our sincere thanks to the volunteer artists for drawing pieces for Vocagathering 2026! As such, we have put together a gallery page of everyone’s artworks with credits! Please go check it out here!

And last but not least, to those who are reading this, THANK YOU! We enjoyed seeing our fellow vocal synth fans listening, sharing, and engaging with the community and the entries positively. Thank you for making this event possible!
